Our story

“Our story begins with my own gran. I remember the day when Mum said that Gran was starting to struggle a bit and needed a helping hand. As a family, we thought we could cope on our own but children, jobs and life in general meant that to give Gran the care and support she deserved, we needed some help.
“So I started looking at care companies and the services they offered. Some of them, on paper at least, looked very polished and professional but I always felt there was something missing. That’s when my wife Lucinda and I decided to set up Home Counties Carers. The mission was very simple: to build a culture, a way to behave, so that Gran was always safe, enjoyed the visits of her carers and prospered in her own home.
“In this respect we feel that care chose us. We had something unique to offer, and that was the belief that everyone deserves the same care as Gran.”

Our team, who does what?
The care we provide doesn’t come down to one individual carer but to a whole team, working behind the scenes to ensure you receive the best care experience you can.

Carer
Our carers live and work by traditional values: timely and prompt, well presented, good and clear communication skills, polite and well mannered, with common sense and a "can do" attitude. Our carers provide more than just support; they bring comfort, companionship, and a sense of security to those they care for.
Field Care Supervisor
The Field Care Supervisor is at the heart of our care service, ensuring that clients feel safe, valued and well cared for. They work closely with carers, guiding and supporting them to provide the highest quality care, while also regularly checking in with clients to make sure their needs are being met with warmth and respect.
Care Coordinator
A Domiciliary Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Circle of Care. They organise care schedules and make sure each client receives the tailored support they need, when they need it, from familiar and trusted carers. Attention to detail and compassion are key attributes of the Care Coordinator.
Care Manager
The Care Manager will carry out your initial assessment and help produce your care and support plan. They oversee every aspect of care with warmth and dedication, making sure each client's needs are not only met but exceeded. They build strong, trusting relationships with carers, clients and their families, bringing peace of mind with their personal touch.
Registered Manager
The Registered Manager ensures that client-centred care is delivered consistently to a level that exceeds quality standards. They manage the care teams, creating care plans and carrying out audits and client reviews for quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards, such as those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Recruitment Manager
The Recruitment Manager plays a key role in bringing on board compassionate and dedicated carers who embody our core values of friendliness, reliability, trustworthiness, and competence.
